Since my last post, I have made 3 shopping trips - the first was a Winn Dixie trip. There were some things I needed just to get through the week (drinks, milk, snacks, etc.) I did not use coupons, and it about killed me. I spent $85, but saved because I used my card and got the WinnDixie pricing. So, I guess I did ok. But I realized that I really could do so much better to just coupon shop. For example, Buckett wanted pancakes and grits and some other breakfast-type stuff, so I bought them without coupons. And what did Publix have on sale starting Wed? Pancake stuff. I could've gotten twice as much breakfast stuff for the same money, or less, if I'd waited and bought it from Publix. Ugh.... But, you never know.
Thursday: Buckett's Walgreens SCORE
6 bottles of HE laundry detergent (All, rather that Purex, which was sold out) for $1.37. WG had it BOGO, I had coupons for BOGO, and stacking those 2 deals allowed us to pay tax only. I had 4 coupons, but WG only allowed him to use 3 at one time, and Buckett lost the 4th one......
Last night's Publix trip was a good one - paid $53 and saved $63. I will try to post details later...
